Songwriting as a lyricist was my first creative passion. I love collaborating with talented musos through the magical process of creating a song from nothing. Most of the songs below are demos, non-broadcast quality.

Jim co-wrote the title track to award-winning cross-media series, ‘forget the rules’, with Theo Marantis. Two seasons of the comedy-drama series were broadcast by Foxtel on Channel V (2005 & 2007).

His first song with long-time collaborator, Russ Zimmer, won Best Pop Song in the annual songwriting contest run by 3CCC Bendigo (now Fresh FM 101.5).

Jim is a three-time finalist in the Pop Category of the Australian Songwriters Association annual contest. Twice with Russ, and once with Debbie Bignell.
